Department of Arabic Language and Linguistics

  • Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Linguistics
    IOU's BA ARB program has three streams. They are as follows

    • BA ARB Degree
      Students with a high school diploma or higher are eligible to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Linguistics (BA ARB degree) upon successful completion of the program.
    • BA ARB Advance Diploma
      Students who do not have a provable educational qualification or do not hold a high school diploma or higher qualification will receive a BA ARB Advance Diploma upon successful completion of the entire curriculum of Advance Diploma in Arabic Language and Linguistics (Advance Diploma in ARB) program. This stream of study falls under the IOU Open Education Program.
    • BA ARB Audit Courses
      Students who wish to audit courses without taking exams at our supervised exam centers will be issued a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the whole course of study. There is no minimum qualification to audit a course. Students who do not meet our minimum admission requirements for a BA ARB degree or have no provable educational qualification may also join this stream. This stream of study falls under the IOU Open Education Program.

  • Intensive Arabic program
    This is a two year program (eight courses, two courses per semester) with concentration on reading, writing, listening and basic conversation skills.

    Course is open to everyone and while there are no admission prerequisites, those not fluent in reading Arabic script are required to complete Arabic 100 program before joining the Intensive Arabic. For more details, click here.

Department of Business Administration

  • Youth Dual Credit Program (YDCP)
    The Department of Business Administration offers "Youth Dual Credit Program" which gives the youth an opportunity to enroll into courses at the Islamic Online University for educational enrichment and to earn an Associate’s Degree while simultaneously completing high school diploma.   • Certificate in Business Administration (CBA)

    This is a 1 year (2 semesters) Certificate in Business Administration Program that can be later forwarded towards the Associate of Arts of Business Administration Program. Minimum admission requirement is successful completion of a high school diploma or higher. For more details, please click here.

  • Associate of Arts in Business Administration (ABA)

    This is a 2 years (4 semesters) Associate of Arts in Business Administration Program. Minimum admission requirement is successful completion of a high school diploma or higher. For more details, please click here.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

    • BBA Degree

      Students with a high school diploma or higher are eligible to receive a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) upon successful completion of the program.

  • Higher Diploma - Bridge to MA (BMAIS)

    This program is for students who already possess an undergraduate degree or its equivalent in other disciplines and would like to enter the master’s degree program rather than the undergraduate degree program. This is a one and a half year (three semesters) distance learning higher diploma course which will act as a prerequisite bridge certificate for entering the MAIS program.   • Master of Arts in Islamic Studies (MAIS)

    Islamic Online University's MA in Islamic Studies program has three streams as follows:

    • MAIS Degree

      Students with a BA in Islamic Studies or B.A. (in a subject other than Islamic Studies), B.Sc., B.Com, equivalent or higher along with BMAIS diploma from IOU are eligible to receive a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies (MAIS) upon successful completion of the program.

    • MAIS Advanced Diploma

      Students who do not have a provable educational qualification or do not meet IOU's minimum requirements will receive a MAIS Advanced Diploma upon successful completion of the entire Master of Arts in Islamic Studies program.This stream of study falls under the IOU Open Education Program.

    • MAIS Audit Courses

      Students who wish to audit courses without taking exams at our supervised exam centers will be issued a certificate of attendance upon completion of the whole course of study. There is no minimum qualification to audit a course. Students who do not meet our minimum admission requirements for MAIS degree or have no provable educational qualification may also join this stream.This stream of study falls under the IOU Open Education Program.
